Massive Update in Pictures

It's been a while since I last updated (understatement) so here is the last month and half in quick picture update. And as I look through them, ALL are phone pics. Sad! Sidenote: this is our family journal... you'd think I would try harder to keep up with it.

We became OBSESSED with our cowboy boots and met Jack's new girlfriend, Nelly Neilsen. Such a cutie pie.

Had a quiet Valentine's Day and a few weeks later we went to see WICKED.

Learned to cook. Learned to milk a cow at the zoo. And learned to give glares and throw fantastic fits when we do not get our way.

Got his first fat lip tumbling down some stairs at the park and face-planting in the sand at the bottom. I am so so grateful he did not bite through his lip. Learning to love coloring-not always on paper. I have learned to love my magic erasers. Planking-really there are no words for this. He started trying to figure out the best way to climb up on the couch and this is what he came up with. Imitating Daddy in EVERYTHING he does.

There are no words for how much he loves Buzz Lightyear. He is MESMERIZED the second any of the Toy Story Movies come on. Also, had another round of Croup. I hate croup. And Asthma. With passion.

We still love swings. And we graduated to a booster seat (only at dinner time-so much easier to stick him in the highchair for breakfast and lunch)!!
Got to see friends after much much much too long of a space in between visits. Isn't Jude to die for? That smile is amazing.

Learned that "BUBBLLEEEZZZZZZZZZ" are really fun. Had his first Oreo when he turned 18 months-and he took it apart to eat the cream!! Seriously, where did he pick that up? Neither of us (Stuart & I) do that! Love Nana & Papa's Desert Tortoises, George and Gracie. Keep getting cuter and cuter.
Jackson is my little buddy and has definitely come into his personality lately. He is a parrot and mimics me all day long. My favorite words that he says right now are: please, buzz, again, bubbles, bath, shoes, boots and all of the animal sounds he makes when I ask him what a specific animal says. It's so cute.

We're off to Disneyland/San Diego on Wednesday for Stuart's Spring Break (can you believe he is graduating in May? I can't!) and I plan to take my "real" camera. Maybe I'll set the phone aside for a few minutes to actually take some good ones!

Photo Round-Up

One of my goals for the year was to try to take more photos and Instagram has had these different month challenges that have actually been really fun. Here is my whole month of January.

Happy

Have you ever seen a cuter smile?

I didn't think so.

Birthdays

The first week of January is birthday-packed for us. This is the only one that I have from Stuart's (New Year's Eve-his birthday is the 1st.).

And then here are a few from mine. Shopping-Benihana-Movie. I love relaxing birthdays with yummy food.

15 Months

I die with his little tongue sticking out. He does it ALL THE TIME.

If I could make him stop growing, I would. No doubt about it. I found myself looking through the last year of pictures (as I was loading them onto my external drive to clear up some space on my computer) and I got a little emotional. I cannot believe how big he is getting and what a little boy he is becoming. I need him to stay little... Sigh. I took these pictures this week on a random perfect sunny day and then realized I could do a little update on him at 15 months. Here it is:

*Latest things that he is saying: Mine. Bite (really he means drink). Nooooo. Momo (Elmo). Bzz (Buzz Lightyear). Uh-huh. Ousigh (outside). Shoes. Up. Down. All done. Amen. Woof (puppy). Banana. Vroom (his cars).
*Loves being outside more than anything. If only I could accomplish things out there, I would live out there too for the both of us.
*Loves the zoo.
*Starting to like movies (but really only the Toy Story Series), and only a few minutes at a time.
*Still loves oatmeal for breakfast. Loves PB&J. Has recently discovered his love for oranges because our parents' trees are full of them. Finally decided he likes milk-but only with PB&J. Loves Chocolate Chip Cookies and ICE CREAM (or gelato... or frozen yogurt...).
*Loves his cars and to make them go fast.
*Sick for 2 weeks at Christmas and is re-learning that it is ok not to be held and to play on his own with his toys. I am hearing all sorts of new whines the past few days. But I will take the whining because the asthma that came with the croup went away!! So relieved that the asthma is respiratory-ailment-induced and not just asthma asthma.
*Can throw the ball really well and is pretty accurate (for the most part).
*Still loves airplanes.
*Is a reincarnation of Linus and carries his blanket EVERYWHERE!
*Still loves to read books.
*Still sleeps 8-8(sometimes 9!) and takes a 3 hour nap at 12:30.
*Loves his "mama" and "dada".
*Most days only loves for mama to put him down for nap and bedtime.
*Most days only loves for dada to feed him his breakfast (yes I realize we are probably creating a monster).

We can't get enough of him.

Christmas 2011

So grateful for my little family. I am so happy that Stuart has been out of school and that we were able to spend so much time together this Christmas. That's all I ever want from Stuart anyway, more time for him to be with us. It's all Jack wants too, Stuart is his favorite person (besides maybe his grandpas).

Christmas Eve at my parents' for the annual Christmas Party with my dad's extended family.
Pretty tree on Christmas Eve.
Christmas morning. He was a little unsure of where all the new stuff came from but got into the puzzles pretty quick.

Christmas Morning.
Christmas morning at my parents for breakfast after church.
You would think that he got nothing else for Christmas other than Elmo and the Jingle puppy. I'm serious. He thinks the puppy is real and refers to Elmo as "momo".
Christmas afternoon at the Petersons. This is such a poor showing of pictures. I need to steal from Abby! These are the only ones I had.
Setting up the new surround sound til 11:30 or so Christmas night... it was important people.
There are no words for how excited I am for this... Stuart surprised me so good this year!

Zoo Day 2

We went to the zoo for my SIL's birthday and it was the second time in a week for us but it was so fun anyway. I love the zoo. Random pics from the day.

I'm framing this one. I just love it.

What Stephanie will look like when she has 3 kids.
